I've experienced the lows of travel writing. I've been completely lost in rural Poland, left abandoned in an undesirable neighbourhood in Rio, been delivered to Bahrain instead of arriving in Singapore and nearly drowned attempting to body surf off Bondi Beach.
I've also seen some unforgettable sights, experienced many different cultures and traditions, reviewed some exceptional hotels and restaurants and witnessed some unforgettable moments.
I've supplied all those stories for national papers, lifestyle magazines, airline magazines, websites, radio stations and travel guides.
I am the creator and presenter of BBC radio's 'where in the world' series of live travelogues and I appear on BBC radio stations across the UK, BBC News 24, Radio 5 Live and Talk Sport.

Lecturing
I lecture on travel for various institutions including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of their World Cities programme.I also host and moderate presentations and seminars on travel-related subjects. I recently hosted a series of presentations for the Russian Tourist Federation at the prestigious World Travel Market in London.

I advise hotels on the best ways to increase profitability through increased guest loyalty and better staff communications and how new technology can enhance the guest experience. Customer loyalty lies at the very heart of hotel revenues and my consultancy focuses on increasing loyalty and repeat business through better guest engagement.
Copywriting
I have had to successfully battle with reluctant corporate executives to get great ideas approved and I've been in at the genesis of award-winning advertising campaigns. I've seen the fruits of my labours come to life. And I've loved every moment of it.
Writing Workshops
I teach creative writing skills to enthusiastic and passionate people who simply lack the skill and confidence to write engaging content. We all have the potential and ability to write well but sound, proven techniques are not learnt in the classroom, they need to be honed in the real world.
